Stubbington Church had a successful beginning to the Christmas season with their “Countdown to Christmas” event on the first Saturday afternoon in December.

They invited some of the user groups( who had never participated in church events before) to a fun musical hour and a half which included favourite carols and songs, poems, refreshments including non alcoholic mulled wine on arrival, and a raffle in aid of the local food bank.

Everyone agreed it was a wonderful atmosphere, one of the highlights was the singing of the Twelve Days of Christmas complete with actions as shown in the photo, also Sue captured the mood of Benjamin Zephaniah’s Talking Turkeys in her brilliant recitation.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services were very well attended and all offerings went towards the Food bank.
