In my working life I have done two jobs. The first was an accountant with a large multinational company that took me at one point to work in Zambia. Then after 16 years doing that, I had a sort of Damascus Road experience, in my case travelling from Basingstoke to Blackpool, and became a Methodist Minister. I served initially in Sheffield, then Derby, then for 9 years in Hong Kong, and then, finally I thought, in Bury, north Manchester. At that point I retired and moved to Liphook. However, God was not finished with me and in January 2020 I came out of retirement to serve Haslemere Methodist Church as its minister. I am delighted to do this and look forward to what God is planning for that fellowship and community over the next few years. I am married to Jean – we met in the Maths class at St Andrew’s University. We have 2 children and now 5 grandchildren. Part of our family live in Eastleigh and the other part in Woking; hence the move to this part of the country |
